This Week In Must See ‘Planet Earth II’ Footage: Widowbirds Have One F’d Up Jumping Contest Mating Ritual

Last week, someone released the viewer stats that more millennials are watching Planet Earth 2 than the X-Factor, one of the most popular reality TV shows in the entire world.

We’ve been covering the second coming of Planet Earth pretty regularly here on BroBible since the mini-series first kicked off a few weeks ago, trying to bring you the most viral clips from each week. This week’s hottest clip? The widowbird mating ritual.

It might not look like much at first, just a few birds jumping around in the grass. But once these widowbirds get going it’s borderline insanity. Some of these widowbirds have more ups than Magic did back in his day, and they can certainly jump higher than my colleague Matt Keohan who we love to rag on for getting cut from his college basketball team. Be sure to go comment on his articles sometime and grill him on why he got cut!

As great as this widowbird clip may be, it’s got NOTHING on the ‘Iguanas vs. Snakes’ clip that came out of Planet Earth II‘s first episode:
