WikiLeaks: Hacked Emails Suggest President Obama Knew About Hillary’s Private Email Server Despite Saying Otherwise
An email hacked by WikiLeaks was released on Tuesday that suggests President Barack Obama was caught in a lie about Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
A top Clinton aide was panicked when the President had said that he learned about Hillary’s private email “through news reports” back in 2015.
Clinton’s former chief of staff at the State Department Cheryl Mills, sent a private email to Hillary’s campaign chairman John Podesta that expressed urgency on March 7, 2015.
“We need to clean this up,” she writes in the email. “He has emails from her – they do not say state.gov.”
On the same day as the email, CBS News’ Bill Plante had asked the President when he learned about Hillary’s private email server for official government business while she was the Secretary of State. “The same time everybody else learned it through news reports,” Obama responded.
If Obama did email Clinton’s private email, this definitely provides a reason why the President would not want to be implicated in the FBI/DOJ criminal case against Hillary.
