Man, you dudes are probably gonna hate this lady. Either way, she’s certainly got a pair on her.
I, personally, would never want to do anything to attract the attention of a police officer. Even if I was certain I was in the right. But this woman in Miami was upset when she saw a cop doing what she says was 100 MPH on the freeway.
So she flagged him down and told him so.
Here are the first two videos, where she witnesses the officer speeding and decides to pull him over.
The woman is unidentified in the videos, although the YouTube account they were uploaded to has the name Claudia Castillo. The cop handles the whole situation with aplomb, saying he’s sorry if he was speeding.
Before you complain about a woman interfering with a cop doing his day-to-day work, speeding police officers have apparently been a big problem in Miami.
A few years ago, the Sun-Sentinel, a newspaper in South Florida, won a Pulitzer Prize for its investigation into off-duty officers speeding on the roadways.
The investigation, which analyzed toll data, determined that nearly 800 officers from several departments and agencies were reaching excessive speeds, sometimes hitting 130 mph.
Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez told CBS, “The Miami-Dade Police Department will have the officer’s immediate command staff investigate the matter, once the officer and citizen are identified. The appropriate course of action will be taken at that point.”
That’d be pretty crazy if she wound up getting him in trouble.
