NFL QBs Will Have Nightmares About 49ers After Watching Chase Young, Nick Bosa Eat Trevor Lawrence

If the San Francisco 49ers are going to make a deep run through the playoffs and/or win the Super Bowl, they will have to rely on their defense. With one of the most explosive and talented offenses in the NFL on one side of the ball, it will be up to the other 11 to ensure that their opponents cannot keep up with the high-scoring attack.

Chase Young will be a major piece to that puzzle. The former No. 2 overall pick in 2020 was traded from Washington to northern California at the deadline. His presence on the opposite edge from Nick Bosa, the No. 2 pick in 2019, is going to be a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks.

That was true when they were both at Ohio State. That is still true today, as seen during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Neither Young nor Bosa could be contained!

San Francisco has a two-headed monster.

Chase Young and Nick Bosa are unstoppable.

Young has recorded 14 sacks and 26 quarterback hits in 34 career games. Bosa has sacked the quarterback 46 times with 125 quarterback hits in 59 games.

Putting them together on the same defensive line is almost unfair. A team that had a strong defensive front before added a 6-foot-5, 264-pound monster to lineup alongside his 6-foot-4, 266-pound teammate.

Young is only 24. Bosa is 26.

God willing, they both have long careers ahead of them. Whether the 49ers decide to pay Young after the season or not is yet to be seen. However, if they are able to lock him down for the long term and keep these two former Buckeyes on the same team, it’s going to be a problem.

Opposing quarterbacks are going to have nightmares about San Francisco’s edge rushers. They are impressive when solo. They are virtually unstoppable when together!
