San Francisco 49ers legend, running back Frank Gore, is making a comeback to the team. However, this time, he won’t be donning the iconic red and gold jersey on the field.

According to agent Malki Kawa of First Round Management, Gore is set to be a part of the 49ers front office, bringing his wealth of football knowledge and experience to the organization.

Gore’s decision to join the 49ers’ front office marks a sentimental return to the place where he carved his name in NFL history as one of the most exceptional and dependable running backs for several seasons.

This time around, he aims to make a difference from a different vantage point within the stadium.

Gore’s journey with the 49ers began in 2005 when the team drafted him in the 3rd round, he went on to become the 49ers’ all-time leading rusher, amassing a staggering 11,073 rushing yards during his tenure.

Gore’s record-setting career extends beyond the 49ers, as he holds the NFL record for the most seasons with at least 1,200 yards from scrimmage, an impressive feat accomplished 12 times during his playing days.

Over his entire NFL career, which spanned multiple teams, Gore accumulated an extraordinary total of 16,000 career rushing yards, ranking third in NFL history.

His accomplishments on the field earned him well-deserved recognition and accolades, including five Pro-Bowl selections and a spot on the esteemed 2010s All-Decade Team.

The running back officially bid farewell to professional football in April 2022, signing a one-day contract with the 49ers to retire where it all began.
