The 49ers lost to the Chiefs in brutal fashion and we’re beginning to get reactions from the Niners.

On Sunday, the Chiefs won the Super Bowl after Patrick Mahomes and the offense were able to march up field and score a game-winning touchdown in overtime.

CBS was able to interview 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan immediately after the game and this is what he said.

“There’s no right words right now. It hurts. Everybody understands that. We knew it would hurt if it came to this. Just proud of our guys, they put themselves out there, they played their tails off, they played through a lot of stuff, it’s something we got to live with…we’re all a little dissapointed right now, but if I were to lose with anyone, I would want to lose with those guys.”

Shanahan went on to praise his young QB Brock Purdy for his play in the Super Bowl.

“I’m so proud of Brock.. How he shows up every week, how he plays… He had an unbelievable year and did a hell of a job today.”
