Troy Aikman may be dealing with professional turmoil during his contract negotiations with ESPN, but he seems to be living the good life in his time off.
In recent weeks, Aikman has expressed frustration that ESPN has not extended his contract as it’s set to expire.
“I’ve never gone into the last year of a contract ever since I signed with the Dallas Cowboys. And so I thought that it would be done. It’s not. When it might get done, if it gets done, is anyone’s guess. And it’s really not something that I’m putting a lot of energy into.”
Over the weekend, the 59-year-old Aikman took some time off from his hectic work life to celebrate his girlfriend Marisa Howard’s 40th birthday.

“Best night,” Howard, 40, wrote, including a snapshot of the former Cowboys quarterback turned NFL analyst with his arm around her at the upscale restaurant.
Aikman — who’s in the final year of his five-year deal with ESPN in the network’s No. 1 NFL booth — reposted the image to his Instagram Story.
