A Video From Gordon Hayward To His Celtics Teammates Played On The Jumbotron Last Night

Gordon Hayward’s season-ending injury was, quite literally, heard round the world. It was such a brutal injury that the news of it lit Twitter on fire and people who don’t even like or follow the NBA have heard about it by now. From the entire Cavs team to Kobe Bryant, people came out in droves to send their well wishes and words of encouragement to the Celtics superstar.

Last night, from his hospital bed, Hayward got on the Jumbrotron at the Celtics game to address his teammates and fans.

Here’s the transcript:

“Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s had me in their thoughts and prayers. I’m gonna be all right. It hurt me that I can’t be there for the home opener. I want nothing more than to be with my teammates and walk out on that floor tonight, but I’ll be supporting you guys from here and wishing you the best of luck. Kill it tonight.”

I’m not crying. You’re crying.

Seriously, though, I’m not crying. Alpha moves only and shit.
