It’s been almost eight years since former NFL All-Pro tight end Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of murder on April 15, 2015.

Two years later, almost to the day he was found guilty, Aaron Hernandez was dead after hanging himself in his prison cell at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, Mass. on April 19, 2017.

Fast forward another six years and Aaron Hernandez’s older brother, Dennis “DJ” Hernandez, has also now found himself in trouble with the law.

According to TMZ, 36-year-old DJ Hernandez was arrested last week on charges that he threw a brick at ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn. with a note attached to the projectile.

According to police documents, the incident happened at around 3 PM on March 23 at the famed Bristol, Conn. campus — just after cops were asked to perform a welfare check on D.J. after he had allegedly stated he wanted to smash out windows at the State Capital and at ESPN.

Police say ESPN security told them an Uber had arrived at one of their gates — but when it was turned away, a passenger in the car got out of the ride, threw something onto the grounds, and then got back into the vehicle and left.

Cops in the documents say when they investigated the object, they discovered it was a white plastic bag with a large brick in it. They also say it had a handwritten note on it.

The note, according to police, read, “To all media outlets. It’s about time you all realeyes the affect media has on all family members. Since you’re a world wide leader maybe you could lead how media and messages are delivered brick by brick. Clean it up! Yours truly, Dennis J. Hernandez.”

DJ was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor breach of peace. Hernandez was also banned from being on ESPN’s campus.

Reactions to this bizarre news by football fans were, of course, laden with jokes.

“Zero temper issues in this family,” someone else wrote.

“2023 low key getting WILD,” another person on Twitter observed.

“Bro this is so old school lmao, just like tweet at them or sumthin,” tweeted another person.
