The always loquacious Aaron Rodgers blasted the media (yes, again) on Tuesday over a recent report about New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson turning down the opportunity to start at quarterback again this season.

Rodgers also took issue with the Jets organization for that story even being available in the first place since, in his eyes, it should have been kept in house.

“When you use sources and, whether intentional or unintentional, try to assassinate someone’s character like that report does for Zach, I have a real hard time with that,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show.

McAfee then asked Rodgers if that story was put out there just to make Zach Wilson potentially look bad? (It didn’t work.)

“How can you look at it any other way? You’re basically saying that this kid is quitting on the team, doesn’t want to play, and is giving the middle finger to the organization.”

After expressing how much he loves the young Zach, Rodgers aired a few more grievances.

“He’s gone through a lot of s— in the last three years, and he’s got every right to be frustrated and disappointed about it. I think he’s done a good job of standing up and taking accountability this year when it’s been his part to do it.

“I think, if that’s journalism now … whoever that person is that thinks it’s okay to talk to anybody like that, I don’t understand what you get out of that, number one. Number two, what is your impetus, what is your motivation to try and bury someone like that?” Rodgers continued.

“That’s a problem with the organization. We need to get to the bottom of whatever this is coming from and put a stop to it privately. Because there’s no place in a winning culture, and this is not the only time, there’s been a bunch of other leaks.”

Aaron Rodgers then explained why reporters, especially in New York, are not friends.

“I think it’s chicken s— at its core and I think it has no place in a winning organization.”

Watch as Rodgers appears to stare daggers at the camera as he said that last part. Was he looking directly at someone in particular? Perhaps, but we’ll have to wait for a source to leak who Rodgers is mad at before we can find out.
