New York Jets rookie quarterback Jordan Travis has been vocal about how eager he is to learn from future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers ever since Gang Green took him in the 5th round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

One of Rodgers’ old teammates, however, seems to think that Jets rookies shouldn’t expect much love from Rodgers.

Last week, it was reported that Jets’ rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley to stay in his guest house.

“I only talked to him on draft night. I’ve texted him the last couple of nights… He said I could stay in his guest house if I want to. So, yeah, me and him are close. That’s going to be my dog while I’m here,” Corley told the New York Post.

Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Amari Rodgers was dubious, however, as he tweeted — and then deleted — a post about Rodgers not showing him that “same type of love,” perhaps suggesting that Corley and the rest of the Jets’ rookies shouldn’t be so sure that Rodgers will be putting an arm around them.

Amari Rodgers, who played college football at Clemson University, was drafted by the Packers in the 3rd round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The wideout’s NFL career didn’t last long, however, as he’s now playing in the United Football League with the Birmingham Stallions.

Amari Rodgers’ anecdote about Rodgers is more consistent with reports from last fall that he virtually ghosted backup quarterback Zach Wilson after suffering his Achilles injury despite frequently and publicly proclaiming how much he liked and supported Wilson.

There’s also this story from ex-Packers quarterback Deshone Kizer, who said that the “first thing that came out of Rodgers’ mouth when they met was ‘You believe in 9/11?'”
