Aaron Rodgers Told DeShone Kizer To Research 9/11 Conspiracy Theories

It’s been an interesting few years for Aaron Rodgers, as the Packers quarterback has slowly but surely earned a reputation as one of the NFL’s most prominent Free Thinkers thanks to his self-admitted ayahuasca use, his decision to get the kind of tattoo you get after a life-changing psychedelic experience, and his somewhat divisive views on alternative medicine (fostered by none other than Joe Rogan).

While Rodgers isn’t particularly shy about sharing his personal opinion on a wide variety of topics, he’s largely managed to avoid wading into the controversial waters Kyrie Irving and other athletes with a tendency to Do Their Own Research have absolutely cannonballed into while promoting some particularly outlandish conspiracy theories.

However, based on what one of his former teammates had to say, he may have some similarly eyebrow-raising beliefs behind closed doors.

That revelation comes courtesy of DeShone Kizer, the Notre Dame product who devoted a chunk of his recent appearance on The Breneman Show to discussing his time serving as a backup for Rodgers after being sent to Green Bay in a trade between the Packers and the Browns in 2018.

Kizer (who is currently unsigned) was asked about his first encounter with Rodgers after joining his new team and, well, it’s safe to say he came very hot out of the gate based on the QB’s recollection of the topic he was immediately told to look into: 9/11.

Here’s what he had to say:

“The first thing that comes out of Aaron Rodgers’ mouth was, ‘You believe in 9/11?’

‘What? Do I believe in 9/11? Yeah. I mean, why wouldn’t I?’ He was like, ‘You should read up on that.’

‘OK.’ Then we started learning about the playbook and stuff. I’m like, ‘Wow, I don’t know where this is going.’

But what it ended up being was just like a real thought experiment where he wanted me to go back and look into some of the conspiracies around it. We had a lot of great conversations and really bonded over that and started sharing some books and talking about some other things and got into history and business and finance…Inner Earth, moon landing, reptile people.

Y’all are laughing. Go do your research. I’m telling you. Go do your research.”

Alrighty then.
