The Green Bay Packers haven’t quite looked like themselves this year. Most of the issue is the offense just isn’t living up to par. However, considering this is potentially Aaron Rodgers’ final season in Green Bay, the front office may opt to make a deal before the NFL trade deadline. At least that’s what Rodgers is hoping for.

Aaron Rodgers Hopeful For Packers To Make Trade Before NFL Deadline

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, the Packers quarterback spoke up about his hopes for his team and the trade deadline. Considering everyone and their mom believes Green Bay needs another wide receiver, there’s a real chance the front office gets involved in the coming weeks.

Rodgers breaks it down by stating, “I trust that we’ll be in the mix for guys and I know Brian [Gutekunst] will do what’s best for our football team.” Listen in on Aaron Rodgers’ full statement below.

At the end of the day, the Packers should consider jumping on some of the rumors floating around the league. It’s believed that Chase Claypool of the Pittsburgh Steelers is available via trade. Green Bay would be a phenomenal landing spot for him. Additionally, he’s a big-bodied receiver Aaron Rodgers would enjoy throwing the ball to.

We’ll see if the Packers pull the trigger or not. There will be plenty of interest in Chase Claypool and other receivers in the league. Even so, Aaron Rodgers makes his point clear. Green Bay needs to make a move before the trade deadline. Otherwise, the rest of the season could be a long one.
