Vice President Aaron Rodgers?

It could happen!

At least, that’s if Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has anything to say about it.

Rebecca Davis O’Brien of the New York Times reports that the independent candidate has approached the New York Jets quarterback about potentially being his running mate for the upcoming election.

Oh, and in case you thought this was a joke, read a little more of O’Brien’s reporting.

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has recently approached the N.F.L. quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the former Minnesota governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura about serving as his running mate on an independent presidential ticket, and both have welcomed the overtures, two people familiar with the discussions said.

…Mr. Kennedy said that he had been speaking with Mr. Rodgers “pretty continuously” for the past month, and that he had been in touch with Mr. Ventura since the former governor introduced him at a campaign event last month in Arizona.”
Rodgers has not yet commented on the report. But he also hasn’t shot it down.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. And Potential Vice Presdient Aaron Rodgers Share Many Ideas

This comes just days after Rodgers went viral (again) for his latest conspiracy theory. This time, Rodgers suggested that many of the world’s most famous works of architecture were actually built by a lost civilization that was far more advanced than anyone could imagine.
No, really.
That tracks with Kennedy Jr., who has espoused such absurd ideas as:
Covid-19 targets certain races and gives others immunity.
Mass shootings are linked to prescription drugs.
The 2004 presidential election was stolen.
The CIA was involved in the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy.
Gun ownership in Switzerland is similar to the United States.
And many, many more.
Kennedy Jr., like Rodgers, is chock full of conspiracies. So maybe Rodgers really is a perfect fit as his running mate.
