Adam Gase seemingly disappeared from the coaching world after being fired by the New York Jets in January of 2021, but now he could be back, and back in a big way.
Gase, who owns an NFL head coaching record of 32-48, is being linked to the New England Patriots. With Josh McDaniels taking the head coaching job with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Pats need a new offensive coordinator and Gase may very well be that guy.
Mike Giardi of NFL Network has reported that Gase’s name keeps popping up when he speaks to his sources about who may be named the Patriots’ new OC.
As you would imagine, NFL fans, specifically Jets and Patriots supporters, had quite the reaction to the report.

Whoever does get the job as the Patriots’ new offensive coordinator has big shoes to fill with McDaniels having so much success in the past.
Gase getting that job and either turning Mac Jones into an elite quarterback or not developing him at all would be quite the spectacle to watch unfold.
Jets fans lived through the Gase misery for a bit and they certainly wouldn’t mind watching Gase make the Patriots look bad, that’s for sure.
