Ahmad Hudson's recruitment is down to LSU and Nebraska.

Ahmad Hudson has been committed to LSU since May of this year. His latest comments suggest that his decision is far from concrete.

Nebraska is making a push. The tight end says they’ve been pressing all the right buttons. The Tigers, meanwhile, have neglected his recruitment.

Lane Kiffin and Co. are in the midst of a number of bidding wars for high-priced prospects. Hudson believes he’s been placed on the back burner.

Ahmad Hudson will decide between Nebraska and LSU.

Hudson is the top tight end in the country. Rated by 247 Sports as a five-star talent, he’s viewed as a Top 20 player nationally.

The Louisiana native committed to the hometown Tigers at the beginning of the summer. He’s remained firm on that pledge over the last four months.

With that said, his recruitment is still very much open. He’s took official visits to Nebraska and USC in June. His most recent remarks suggest the Cornhuskers are positioning themselves for a flip.

“The program you wouldn’t expect to be doing their job to try and get me to come there, is doing what they need to do,” Hudson said in a recent interview. “The program you most expect it from is not doing what they need to do.”

Hudson’s decision will impact more than just the football program. He is also expected to play basketball at the college level.

The pass catcher says Nebraska is rolling out the red carpet. LSU is pumping the brakes. For one reason or another, the Tigers have put him on the back burner.

LSU is pursuing other options.

The Tigers are chasing pledges from Jalen Brewster and Easton Royal. Both are currently committed to other programs. Each will demand a high price from the school of their choosing.

Royal is considered the top receiver in the nation. He committed to Texas last November. His social media activity suggests his recruitment is still very much open. LSU is competing with the Longhorns and Florida. A bidding war is underway.

Brewster, meanwhile, is the top player in the country regardless of position. He is committed to Texas Tech. LSU is trending for a flip, and NIL money will play a notable role. Programs are willing to pay for his pledge. It’s believed a recent property purchase might even be linked to his commitment.

LSU has prioritized Royal and Brewster. Ahmad Hudson has been neglected. LSU already has the tight end’s commitment. They risk losing it by chasing recruiting flips.
