Alabama WR Jermaine Burton is under fire for appearing to push a female fan after the Crimson Tide’s loss to Tennessee. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media, causing an uproar from college football fans.

The Tide fell 52-49 in Knoxville over the weekend, leading to the Tennessee faithful storming the field in Neyland Stadium. The win was the Vols’ first over their archrival since 2007. Cigars were lit and field goal posts were destroyed.

Alabama fans were not happy following the loss, believing that they’d been shafted by the officiating crew. Many pointed to certain calls throughout the contest, while others had the audacity to accuse the refs of openly cheering on Tennessee.

It appears the players on the Alabama side were quite upset, too.

Alabama WR Jermaine Burton is now under fire for appearing to push a female fan’s head after the game.

Tennessee supporters rushed the field as Alabama players attempted to get to the locker room. Unfortunately, emotions were running high, and it looks to have led to an unfortunate event.

After seeing the clip posted on social media, many are for pressing for some sort of punishment for Burton. Here’s what they had to say online.

One fan commented, “Get to work. Remember when [SEC Commissioner] Greg Sankey suspended [UT WR] Jauan Jennings based solely on video evidence following the game? Well Alabama player Jermaine Burton punched a female. Justice needs to be done.”

Apparently, there was another clip of Burton smacking a fan while walking off the field. This person wrote, “Greg Sankey, pretty sure Jermaine Burton assaulted 2 people Saturday. Do the right thing.”

Not a good look for Burton.
