Following the NFL Pro Bowl in which he caught 4 passes for 23 yards in the NFC’s 35-41 loss, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was arrested by Las Vegas police and charged with felony battery.

Kamara allegedly beat another man at Drai’s Nightclub, leaving him with an orbital fracture. Security video showed Kamara punching the man repeatedly. It also showed Kamara’s crew stomping on the man while he was on the floor, causing him to lose consciousness.

The 26-year-old running back now faces up to five years in prison and is due in court on March 8th after being bailed out of the Clark County Detention Center Sunday night.

In addition to the potential prison sentence and mandatory $10,000 fine, the perennial Pro Bowler could also face up to a 6-game suspension by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

In a report filed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. in the morning.

Kamara was questioned and arrested at Allegiant Stadium.

The police report also states Kamara told police he thought the man had done something to someone in his group, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal. His group reportedly consisted of his girlfriend, his assistant and a couple of friends. No other arrests have been announced.

Prior to joining the Saints, the former University of Alabama star had been arrested in Georgia in 2014 and charged with driving on a suspended license, no driver’s license, safety belts required and failure to appear.
