If there’s one thing that everybody knows about WNBA superstar Angel Reese, it’s that she’s not afraid to speak her mind. That was true of Reese in her time at LSU, and has only become more true in her two years as a true.
Apparently, that extends to her feelings on personal relationships, including her relationship with ex-boyfriend Jalen Duren, who is a star in his own right for the Detroit Pistons.
Duren and Reese began dating in 2024 and broke up seemingly not long thereafter. She then began a relationship with Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr., which appears to be ongoing.
So when Carter Jr.’s eighth-seeded Magic defeated the Pistons, 94-88, on Monday to take a 3-1 series lead in their Eastern Conference first-round matchup, Reese took the opportunity to have some fun at Duren’s expense.

Early in the fourth quarter of Game 4, Magic forward Jamal Cain took the ball on the fast break and immediately began to dribble toward the basket. He took right at Duren, one of the league’s best rim protectors, and went up for a dunk.
Duren did his best to affect the shot, but he was no match for Cain, who brutally dunked on the All-Star center.

Orlando eventually held on for the win and took a commanding series lead in the process. Unsurprisingly, the team shared images of the dunk on Duren in all their social media posts celebrating the win.
And Reese was quick to pass them along on her own social channels.

On one hand, you could argue she was just supporting Carter Jr. and his team’s success. But anybody who has paid attention to Angel Reese over the last few years knows she knew exactly what she was doing here.
So if you see Jalen Duren posting lowlight compilations of Angel Reese at some point during the WNBA season, you can’t say she didn’t have it coming.
