Angel Reese Skips Second Game After Issuing Blunt Warning About Bizarre Drama-Filled Absence

Angel Reese was not with her team on Monday night. LSU hosted Texas Southern in Baton Rouge.

Reese was MIA during warmups, with less than 30 minutes before tipoff. It marked her second-straight absence from the team on game day after she did not travel to Southeastern Louisiana on Friday night.

Nobody knows what is going on with Angel Reese or the Tigers. Kim Mulkey offered a sassy statement last week, but it only added fuel to the conjecture fire. The 61-year-old head coach spent more time on an unhinged rant about her ongoing illness than she did discussing her First-Team All American.

This saga comes after Mulkey benched her star forward/guard during a blowout win over Kent State last Tuesday. Reese played only 13 minutes during the first half and did not see the court during the second.

According to a report out of Baton Rouge, Mulkey issued a suspension for lackadaisical play. Reese is said to be undergoing an “attitude adjustment.”

Teammate Flau’jae Johnson’s mother made some very bold claims during an online spat last week. She ripped into Reese, through her mom, for having a truly embarrassing GPA. That is not confirmed as fact.

Reese issued a firm warning about what to believe or not to believe on Sunday afternoon. It was posted on X one day after Reese shared a status update from inside the LSU basketball gym on Saturday.

The whole thing is very confusing. Mulkey, Reese and/or the Tigers could stop all of the speculation if they simply came forward with an explanation. They have not done so to this point.

As a result, rumors are running wild. All we know is that Reese is not on the floor, again. She is not with the team at the moment. A potential date of return is unknown.

LSU will travel out of the United state for the Cayman Islands Classic later in the week. It will play Niagra on Friday and Virginia on Saturday before returning home to Baton Rouge against Virginia Tech on Nov. 30.

Will Reese make the trip?!
