Angel Reese did not travel to the Cayman Islands with the LSU women’s basketball team. She will miss her third and fourth-straight games as the Tigers play twice against Niagara and Virginia while overseas.

As her teammates enjoyed some time in the sun, Angel Reese displayed her selflessness back in Baton Rouge by serving the homeless community.

The 21-year-old First Team All-American from a year ago was benched against Kent State on Nov. 14 and missed each of the next two games. Although it is not entirely clear as to what is going on, because head coach Kim Mulkey refuses to clear things up, the belief is that Reese is suspended.

She is still part of the team. She was in the gym last weekend.

However, Reese has not been with the team of late. There is a lot of speculation about the saga.

Teammate Flau’jae Johnson’s mom accused Reese, through some serious beef with her mom, of carrying a truly embarrassing GPA. Reese issued a warning not to believe everything that you read.

Meanwhile, Mulkey got into it with a reporter during a feisty exchange earlier this week. It seems as though her decision to suspend Reese stems from lackadaisical play and focus.

Nobody really knows. LSU defers back to Mulkey when asked about the situation.

Angel Reese did good in the Boot.

Back in Louisiana, Reese spent a portion of her Thanksgiving Day packing food for a homeless shelter. She also tagged her foundation, which is “dedicated to fostering equity for girls and underrepresented groups through innovative and impactful initiatives.”

Reese was not supposed to be in Baton Rouge on Thanksgiving. LSU is in George Town without her.

Rather than wallowing in her sorrow, she got out and gave back. Pretty cool.

A few hours later, completely unrelated, Reese posted the following video on TikTok.

It appears as though spirits are high despite such a difficult period in Reese’s life.
