According to documents filed this week in federal bankruptcy court in Florida, embattled former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown owes millions of dollars and has almost no assets.

Brown, a seven-time Pro Bowler who earned over $80 million during his football career, announced on Tuesday through a post on social media that he had filed for bankruptcy, but with his penchant for not always telling the truth it was unclear if he was serious or not.

Now there is proof that he did, which means he and Kanye West probably won’t be buying an NFL teams anytime soon.

The Albany Times-Union reports that Antonio Brown owes almost $3 million to at least eight creditors.

Among the debts Brown listed is $1.2 million to a moving truck driver who sued him over an alleged assault. Brown was ordered by a judge to pay the moving truck driver after the former NFL star failed to appear in court.

Antonio Brown also listed at least three six-figure civil judgments against him, according to court documents.

Brown also owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in credit card debt.

Apparently his salary as the President of Donda Sports, which has no actual sports clients, doesn’t pay very well these days.

He claims he has less than $50,000 in assets, yet, according to the Times-Union, a “18,000-square-foot, 12-bedroom, 14-bathroom mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is listed as Brown’s address in the bankruptcy filing.”

Not mentioned by the newspaper is another debt Brown owes to celebrity jeweler Shuki International.

Shuki sued Brown for allegedly not paying for $1.05 million worth of jewelry by a judge when Brown failed to respond to the lawsuit through something called the Antonio El-Allah Express Trust Enterprise.

Back in May of 2023, the Times-Union reported about Brown’s confusing financial dealings where a person supposedly named Antonio El-Allah controls much of Brown’s assets.

At that time, Antonio Brown also claimed to be “a foreign national but not a citizen of the United States” in paperwork related to the ownership of the Albany Empire.

However, Brown, who claimed he didn’t own the Arena League team, was the only person who publicly represented the team as an owner before being kicked out of the league.
