Antonio Brown Pulled The Lowest Of Low Moves Before Being Kicked Out Of Arena League

There’s very little that Antonio Brown could do these days to surprise football fans.

The former Pro Bowl wide receiver, who was on track for a Hall of Fame NFL career, has found just about every way to screw that up.

From feuding with teammates and coaches to sexual assault allegations, Brown has used up any and all good will he may have banked previously.

And yet, just when think things couldn’t possibly get worse for Brown and his reputation, they do.

The National Arena League recently expelled Brown, who had owned the Albany Empire. The move came after Brown failed to keep up with expense payments for the team.

But it gets worse from there.

According to a report from the Albany Times Union, Brown initially paid players and coaches only to later reverse the payments.

“(Coach Moe) Leggett said team members were paid last Thursday and Friday for the Orlando game,” the reported stated. “But a member of their group chat on Wednesday night posted a screenshot of the bank account reversal. When Leggett checked his account the next morning, his paycheck also had been deducted.”

Now Leggett and Albany players plan to sue Brown as part of a class-action suit.

“I’m frustrated,” Leggett told reported Mark Singelais. “I’m frustrated. I tried to give (Brown) the benefit of the doubt. I tried to work with him. I was trying to be the peacemaker, the mediator to make sure things ran smoothly and just under the radar. But I can no longer do that.”

Brown did not answer attempts by the reporter to contact him.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers star has also not spoken about the issue since being removed from the league.

Albany joined the NAL  in 2021. The team previously competed in the now-defunct Arena Football League.
