Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos may want to stay off of his phone in the future. He was responding to hate emails within minutes following Saturday’s college football game, which is not a great look.

It could have been someone other than Enos on the keys, like his wife or something. However, Mason Choate of HawgBeat used an FOIA request to confirm that it was in fact his email.

The Razorbacks fell to 2-3 during the 2023 college football season with a loss to Texas A&M at Jerry World in Dallas. They ran 56 total plays on offense but totaled just 174 yards in the game.

That simply will not cut it.

To make matters worse, Arkansas was 5-for-15 on third downs and 0-for-1 on a key fourth down and very short. Although the defense allowed 34 points to the Aggies, most of the blame fell back on the offense.

It was an ugly performance and Enos is at the helm, so any offensive struggles were his fault.

A student by the name of Robinson (Rob) Mason agrees that Enos deserves criticism. He went one step further, found Enos’ school-issued email address and emailed the OC with his thoughts.

Dan Enos replied within minutes seconds.

Mason also attached screenshots of the emails that he exchanged with Enos.

Student: “I just wanted you to know that I’m available to call 4th downs for y’all if y’all need it AND y’all don’t have to pay me millions. What a disgrace.”

Enos: “What would u call??”

Student: “A QB sneak. This isn’t hard Dan”

Enos: “With gaps defense 😂😂😂😂 What a joke 😂😂😂😂”

Enos: “You’re so innovative 😂”

Student: “I don’t know if you know this Dan, but a QB sneak with a 250 Pound QB is hard to stop even if you know it’s coming. Also, but what you’ve been doing isn’t working if you didn’t notice”

Enos: “Thanks Robinson U should have been a coach!!!!! 😂😂”

Student: “Maybe you stop trying to be innovative and get a first down. If I was a coach I would have been just as effective as you are.”

Enos: “U still have time. Apply for some jobs, I’m sure you’ll be great 😂”

It did not stop there.

Enos also responded to an anonymous email.

Email: “Our quarter back is 240 pound, put the man under center.”

Enos: “What would u have run vs that structure???”

That was not all! There was a third thread.

Email: “Is a QB sneak on 4th and inches too much to ask for?”

Enos: “Great idea!! Even vs gaps??”

In all three instances, Enos replied within minutes. He was firing off emails back and forth with people he didn’t know, and argued with them about his play-calling.

Surely that means that things are going well, right?

Based on a recent phone call to fans from the ticketing office…. not so much! Arkansas is in shambles.
