Darion Moseley is no longer going to play college football at Arkansas. The Class of 2027 recruit officially decommitted from the program on Tuesday.

It should not come as a surprise.

The Razorbacks commit was appalled by what he saw during the 2026 college football season. He changed his mind.

Darian Moseley decommitted from Arkansas.

At 6-foot-0, 190 pounds, Darion Moseley is rated as a three- or four-star prospect in the recruiting Class of 2027. 247 Sports and On3 rate him as a three-star. ESPN rates him as a four-star. It depends on where you look.

Moseley is ranked as one of the top-100 players at his position, one of the top-50 players in the state and one of the top-500 players in the country. His stock only continues to rise.

Moseley burst onto the scene as a sophomore at Thompson High School in Alabama. He caught 53 passes for 756 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025, and 68 catches for 1,128 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025.

The senior pass-catcher also caught 32 passes for 495 yards and six touchdowns from Alabama quarterback commit Trent Seaborn in the first six games of 2026. The Warriors are undefeated at 6-0.

Moseley holds 28 scholarship offers from schools all over the country. He committed to play at the University of Arkansas in May. He decommited from the University of Arkansas on Tuesday. The writing was on the wall.

He raised major red flags about the college football program.

Darion Moseley spoke with Best of Arkansas Sports on Sept. 17. The Razorbacks were coming off of a blowout loss to the Utes in Utah. They were two days away from another blowout loss to the Georgia Bulldogs. A winning record now seems unlikely.

Moseley knew it was ugly after the trip to Salt Lake City.

“We shouldn’t look like this to a Big 12 team, I don’t care what you say,” he said at the time. “I hope they know that’s not okay.”

His assessment of the Razorbacks offense was bleak.

“We’re fourth-year, fifth-year seniors and we’re not able to break tackles. We’ve got our quarterback missing throws that he should be making and we’re not doing what we need to do.”

That was three weeks ago. What Moseley saw from Arkansas over the last three games was enough to push him away. Ryan Silverfield lost one of his top recruits. A reconciliation does not seem likely.

Moseley is now trending toward Northwestern with a visit scheduled for Oct. 24. Kentucky and Mississippi State are also in the mix.
