Nobody is quite sure what’s in store for Lamar Jackson right now, as rumors are all over the place regarding the Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback.
Recently, reports claimed that Jackson might actually be interested in playing for the New England Patriots. Now, a former player warns him about that desire.
Asante Samuel, who won two Super Bowls with New England, sent a warning to Lamar Jackson about wanting to play for the Patriots.
Lamar Jackson, my brother trust me you don’t want to play for Belichick

Now, this might be surprising to most, but Samuel has been critical of Bill Belichick in the past. Here he is during his appearance on the I Am Athlete podcast discussing Belichick.
"If you were coaching the team and you had Tom we'd all win the championship." pic.twitter.com/ZMLnYhA0Xx

He might actually have a point though. Especially when you consider Belichick’s career record without Tom Brady is 71-79. On top of that, the all-time record of the Patriots franchise is 43-42 without Brady.
The stats kind of suggest Brady was the reason New England was so successful over the last two decades.
Even so, Patriots fans are not too pleased with Asante Samuel, as they fire off shots of displeasure at the former Super Bowl-winning cornerback.
Asante so annoying

A lot of Patriots fans are reminding Samuel of his Super Bowl blunder.

It’s going to be okay, Pats fans. You have six championships. Losing a few shouldn’t be a big deal to you.
Bro still mad he lost us that Super Bowl

Where’s Salt Bae when you need him?
Man you’re salty.

For now, Lamar Jackson’s future remains up in the air. Perhaps Samuel’s warning persuades him from wanting to play for the Patriots.
Either way, any team would be lucky to have Jackson. Hopefully, more clarification about his future comes to light soon.
