Philadelphia fans are some of the worst in sports.

At least, that’s what just about ever national sports broadcast you’ve ever seen involving a Philadelphia team would tell you.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Philadelphia fans have plenty of moments that they’re less than proud of.

But generally speaking, they’re not unlike most fans who sometimes get carried away.

Take, for instance, Atlanta Braves fan, who littered their own ballpark with trash following a controversial call in the 8th inning of Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The incident came with two outs in the top of the 8th with the Braves trailing 2-0 and the bases loaded. Relief pitcher Pierce Johnson was facing Phillies catch J.T. Realmuto.

With the count 2-1, Realmuto swung and foul tipped a Johnson pitch. But the home plate umpire called catcher interference, forcing in a run to make the score 3-0.

Atlanta challenged the call, but it was upheld upon review.

Braves fans then proceeded to launch trash from the stands onto the field.

Of course, what came next was dozens and dozens of “why would Phillies fan do that?!” jokes.

Umpires stopped the game for a few minutes to clean the field before play could resume.

Nick Castellanos then proceeded to ground out the inning.

But it’s certainly not a good look for Atlanta fans.
