Opening Day is officially upon us as the MLB season gets underway. The new owners of the Baltimore Orioles are kicking the year off in the best possible way.

With free beer for O’s fans!

Videos of the new ownership group hitting a bar just outside of Oriole Park at Camden Yards are now going viral. Those clips show patrons at Pickles Pub celebrating to the proposition of cold brews on the house ahead of a season opener against the Angels.

After three decades of running the franchise, the Angelos family sold to David Rubenstein and his investor group this offseason. With that vote – which was unanimously approved by the MLB – going through, Rubenstein is set to be welcomed onto the field before Game 1.

More from NBC Sports:

Rubenstein’s group, which includes Cal Ripken Jr. and Grant Hill, reached an agreement in January to buy the Orioles for an evaluation worth $1.725 billion.

It seems there’s still some money left over from that purchase, and the new owners wasted zero time getting in the good graces of fans of the club.

After this latest act of kindness, Rubenstein and Co. should have no problem walking out to a standing ovation!

The O’s are set to kick off the 2024 season on Thursday after winning the AL East the year prior. Posting a 101-win season, Baltimore took home its first pennant in a decade before the Orioles fell in the ALDS to eventual World Series champion Texas.

New ownership is hoping to keep that momentum rolling in the season to come, and a boatload of young talent bodes well for the team’s chances in returning to the playoffs.
