Nothing is stopping the Barbie train.

Last week, several detractors, including Ben Shapiro, came forward to bash the Barbie movie as “woke” propaganda.

Despite the backlash, Barbie absolutely crushed it at the box office.

According to Variety, Barbie brought in $155 million in its opening weekend, surpassing the Super Mario Bros for the year’s biggest opening weekend.

Barbie also set a box office record for the biggest domestic opening weekend for a film helmed by a female director.

Barbie” also scored the biggest opening weekend ever for a film directed by a woman. “Captain Marvel,” which was co-directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, previously held the title with $153 million in 2019. “Wonder Woman,” from filmmaker Patty Jenkins, stood as the record-holder for a movie solely directed by a woman with $103 million in 2017.

It seems like Barbie is on pace to be the highest-grossing domestic film of the year despite the haters.
