Baseball Player Incorporates Trash Can In The Most Disrespectful Umpire Dispute In History

Twitter

Historically, baseball is a game of decorum and decency. Fathers can bring their young sons to the ballpark to enjoy a hot dog and 8-10 beers while watching America’s sport with the assumption that Kenny Powers isn’t going to whip his ding-a-ling out on the mound. A simple bat flip after a moonshot is considered poor taste in a game that honors etiquette and tradition over raw entertainment value.

Brennan Metzger, an outfielder for the the independent Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, decided that a controversial called third strike in a tie game in the bottom of the 7th with a man in scoring position was good reason to toss that etiquette directly in the trash. Check out one of the flashiest, most disrespectful gestures to an umpire you’ll see.

As Metzger placed the trash can behind home plate, the mic caught him yelling “go to your home” to umpire Mike Jarboe. Classic.

Looked like the right call from my house. No swings no hits bruh.

No word on whether Jarboe is now living in the trash can. We’ll keep you posted.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
