With 13 seconds left in their insane AFC Divisional Playoff game versus the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had some words of wisdom for Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs were down by three with 13 seconds left and the game essentially was over. At least that’s what almost everyone thought.

Instead, Mahomes performed some football magic in those 13 seconds and the Chiefs were able to tie the game on a 49 yard field goal.

One coin toss later and Kansas City was in the AFC Championship Game… again.

Speaking to the media after the wild win, Reid admitted that before Mahomes took the field with 13 seconds to go he told his star quarterback, “When it’s grim, be the grim reaper.”

On Sunday, after the Chiefs jumped out to a 21-3 lead in the first half, things were looking pretty bad for the Bengals. In fact, one could say it was looking pretty grim.

Then Joe Burrow threw for a touchdown to Samaje Perine. Then Evan McPherson converted a 31-yard field goal. Then Burrow hit Ja’Marr Chase for a touchdown, adding a two-point conversion and just like that the game was tied before the third quarter was even over.

Evan McPherson hit a 52 yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Harrison Butker then kicked a 44 yard field goal. And we went to overtime. A Patrick Mahomes interception and a Evan McPherson 33 yard field goal later and the Bengals were the AFC Champions.

The Bengals’ social media did an A+ job of trolling the Chiefs

After the wild win, the Cincinnati Bengals’ social media team showed that they hadn’t forgotten when Andy Reid said and what the Chiefs tweeted the week before.

Bengals fans, naturally, loved it.

Chiefs fans? Not so much.
