This past weekend’s record: 2-3-1

We’ve circled six basketball games we like for Tuesday, February 4th’s slate.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans

The Milwaukee Bucks will travel to New Orleans for an inter-conference matchup against the Pelicans.

You would assume with top-seeded Milkwakee winning nine of their last 10, they’d be the hottest team in the league, but they’ve needed those wins just to keep a distance from the Toronto Raptors and their 11-game winning streak. New Orleans and this young squad may not see the playoffs, but this team is playing much better as the season progresses, including winning three of their last four.

A lot of eyes will be on this game as we’ll see for the first time Giannis and Zion on the same court.

That’s the matchup we want to see the most with the Bucks being the far superior team. With the Pelicans under .500 at home and ranking 28th in scoring defense this season, that does not look good against the best offensive scoring team in the league.

Milwaukee Bucks -6

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The San Antonio Spurs travel to the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

It’s been an emotional few days for the top-seeded Lakers as they honored Kobe Bryant over the weekend and lost to the Trail Blazers that night. In the next game, they were able to rebound with a 129-113 win over the Sacramento Kings.

The Spurs find themselves in an unusual spot; there’s a chance they could miss the playoffs, this would be the first time since the 1996-97 season, Kobe Bryant’s rookie year.

The Spurs have been an underwhelming team on the road this year; they rank 24th in scoring defense on the road and 26th against the three-pointer.

Lakers -12

NBA Total To Bet On: Portland Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets Over 220

#9 Duke Blue Devils vs. Boston College Eagles

The No.9 Blue Devils are coming off a road win against Syracuse as they head into Chestnut Hill to play the Eagles. Boston College now sits at .500 after a narrowing defeating underperforming North Carolina this past weekend.

Duke has a great track record against Boston College by winning nine of their last 10 matchups by an average of 18 points and are 6-2 against the spread in its last eight matchups. The offensive power that is the Blue Devils, who are second in the nation in scoring, will be too much for this Eagles team that struggles to score.

Duke -15

Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. #15 Kentucky Wildcats

Do not let the fact that Kentucky is ranked and Miss St. isn’t fool you, with a win tonight, the Bulldogs have a chance to come away tied for second in the SEC.

These teams are close in record, and in stats; the Wildcats are only scoring 1.5 points more per game, and both are giving up 65 points-per-game. Miss St. has won four of their last six games and those were both one-point games.

Recent betting trends also favorite the Bulldogs; they’ve covered the spread in seven straight while the Wildcats have failed to do so in five of their last seven.

This going to end in a very close game.

Mississippi State +5

NCAA Total To Bet On: Auburn vs. Arkansas Over 141
