Bill Belichick is finally speaking out about his girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s controversy in North Carolina. Last week, Pablo Torre reported that Hudson had been banned from attending UNC football practices after she lashed out during Belichick’s CBS interview.

“Two sources at the University of North Carolina tell me that there has been a decision that was made last week by the higher-ups inside the athletic department that had hired Bill Belichick to be the highest paid public employee — not just coach in the state of North Carolina at $10 million a year — and that decision was that Jordon Hudson, she is no longer allowed in the football building,” Torre said. “She is not allowed on the football field.”

The University of North Carolina immediately refuted Torre’s report and claims Hudson is welcome at UNC’s practice facilities.

“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

On Tuesday, Belichick appeared on SportsCenter and was put in the awkward position of having to talk about his girlfriend.

“That’s really off to the side, it’s a personal relationship, and she doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football.”

Belichick’s comments come a day after Pablo Torre revealed that he wasn’t sure the 73-year-old coach would make it to the start of the football season at North Carolina.
