Bill Belichick apparently isn’t interested in discussing his relationship with Jordon Hudson, especially now that multiple reports claim they secretly broke up almost a year ago.
The 74-year-old North Carolina football coach made that abundantly clear Monday when a reporter asked him about his relationship with the 25-year-old former cheerleader during a press conference.
Bill Belichick Gets Testy Over Question About Jordon Hudson Breakup
According to the New York Post, WRAL reporter Brian Murphy asked Bill Belichick whether reports about his reported breakup with Jordon Hudson could affect the North Carolina football program. Belichick wasn’t having it.
“Do you work for a tabloid now?” Belichick responded.
After questioning whether Murphy worked for a tabloid, the Super Bowl-winning coach said he preferred to keep his personal relationships private.
The uncomfortable exchange came just days after reports surfaced that Belichick and Hudson had quietly ended their romantic relationship late last year.
TMZ and People have both reported that the two remain close friends and continue their business partnership. However, neither Belichick nor Hudson has publicly confirmed the breakup. Meanwhile, Page Six reported that Hudson has already started seeing other people.
Adding to the confusion, WRAL reporter Pat Welter says sources familiar with Hudson have disputed the reports. Two people inside the UNC football program reportedly told USA Today that they were unaware of any breakup.
Welter also noted that Hudson was seen celebrating with Belichick after North Carolina’s victory over Duke on October 17. TMZ also reported on Monday that Belichick and Hudson were seen together months after their alleged secret split.
So, nobody seems entirely sure what’s going on.
Belichick’s Relationship With Hudson Has Been A Distraction At North Carolina
The couple’s reported breakup is just the latest bizarre development in a relationship that has attracted as much attention as, if not more than, Bill Belichick’s coaching career.
Jordon Hudson famously interrupted Belichick’s CBS Sunday Morning interview in April 2025 when he was asked how they met. She also made headlines for violating rules, interrupting Belichick during pre-game warmups, being overly involved in team practices, and drawing the ire of Bill Belichick’s daughter-in-law.

Their relationship has generated headlines, most of them negative, throughout his entire tenure at North Carolina. Now, whether he likes it or not, with reporters asking about a breakup that may or may not have happened nearly a year ago, it doesn’t look like the attention on Coach Belichick’s personal life is going away anytime soon. And judging by Monday’s press conference, he isn’t particularly thrilled about it.
