Bo Jackson Brutally Shuts Down Auburn Fan Trying To Take Selfie At Tigers Basketball Game

You don’t know Bo.

No, really, you don’t know Bo. So don’t go up to him sticking your phone camera in his face.

That’s what one Auburn fan learned the hard way on Wednesday when he tried to take a selfie with Bo Jackson at a Tigers basketball game.

Jackson attended Auburn’s 101-61 blowout victory over No. 11 South Carolina. And when a fan approached him asking to take a selfie, the Tigers’ football and basketball legend pointed to the court and appeared to sternly say “no, watch the game.”

At which point the clearly dejected fan turned and walked away.

Honestly, it’s hard to blame Jackson. He’s just trying to enjoy the game like anybody else. Especially after he was unable to do so for an extended period of time last year following a horrific health condition.

“I wasn’t there because of dealing with hiccups,” Jackson said after missing a statue unveiling for former baseball teammate Frank Thomas last year. “I’ve had the hiccups since last July,”

Thankfully, it appears he got the issue fixed.

“I’m getting a medical procedure done at the end of this week, I think, to try to remedy it,” he said later in the same interview. “I’ve been busy sitting at the doctor’s poking me, shining lights down my throat, probing me every way they can to find out why I’ve got these hiccups. That’s the only reason I wasn’t there.”

As someone with an irrational fear of having nonstop hiccups, I can only imagine what that must have been like.

By all accounts, Jackson is an extremely kind and welcoming guy. So if he turned away the selfie, it was likely because he was just trying to enjoy the game.

Though that poor Auburn fan probably thought he was about to have a picture he’d remember his entire life. But hey, them’s the breaks.
