Star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has made his decision in free agency and will be signing with the Tennessee Titans, per AtoZSports’s Doug Kyed.

Despite fierce competition from the New England Patriots, the Titans managed to secure Hopkins’ services, thanks to their aggressive approach.

The Titans are giving Hopkins a 2-year, $26M deal worth up to $32M with incentives, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Rumors had been circulating for days about Hopkins’ potential landing spot after he became a free agent. Many teams expressed interest in acquiring the talented wide receiver, but it ultimately boiled down to a fierce battle between the Patriots and the Titans.

Both teams reportedly made competitive offers to Hopkins, but it was the Titans’ relentless pursuit that ultimately swayed him. The decision marks an exciting addition to the Titans’ already potent offensive arsenal, pairing Hopkins with quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry. Although rookie QB Will Levis might also see playing time.

Hopkins, widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the league, brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Titans’ receiving corps. Known for his exceptional hands, route-running, and ability to make acrobatic catches, Hopkins is expected to have an immediate impact on the team’s passing game.

The 31-year-old wide receiver has expressed his intention to continue playing football until he reaches the age of 37, emphasizing his long-term commitment to the game.

Hopkins has set a personal benchmark of maintaining 1,000-yard seasons as a receiver, and he remains determined to achieve that goal throughout his career.

Throughout his tenure in the NFL, Hopkins has consistently put up impressive numbers, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in six out of his first eight seasons.

In his most recent full season in 2020, Hopkins put up impressive numbers, hauling in 115 receptions for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns.

His exceptional skills and consistent performance have earned him numerous All-Pro selections, solidifying his status as one of the league’s premier wide receivers.
