Brett Favre Seems To Be A Fan Of Baker Mayfield’s Tribute To His Incredibly 90s Draft Day Photo

If there hadn’t been a rule preventing him from doing so, I’m pretty sure Brett Favre would have played every single one of his NFL games in a pair of relaxed fit jeans. The former quarterback has always had a special relationship with denim stretching all the way back to the outfit that he rocked on the day he was drafted— a look that Baker Mayfield absolutely nailed when he paid homage to it last night ahead of his own NFL Draft.

Favre would eventually go on to live his lifelong dream of being a spokesperson for Wrangler in addition to being a pretty good football player. I’m not sure if Mayfield has the same ambitions, but he does officially have the support of the legendary quarterback, who hopped into his mentions to acknowledge the tribute and wish the prospect good luck.

I’m sure Favre’s agent will be thrilled to learn where his client’s loyalties lie.

Mayfield can certainly take all of the luck that he can get, as no one seems to have any idea what the Browns are planning to do with the first pick (I’m assuming at least a few members of their notoriously dysfunctional front office don’t have any idea either). Mayfield seems to be fine with going to Cleveland because he’s confident he can be the city’s next LeBron James and the franchise hasn’t made it a secret that he’s on their radar.

I’ve seen Mayfield at the top of some mock draft boards made by people on the internet who claim to be football experts, but more credible sources say Sam Darnold is the favorite to be selected with the first pick. If he really wants to make a statement, he’ll show up to the ceremony tonight in a pair of zip-off cargo pants.
