In a fiery pre-game moment, Jets tight end C. J. Uzomah didn’t mince words when talking about Broncos coach Sean Payton.

Uzomah can be seen telling his team: “Their coach made this personal!” He continued, “Well, f— him and forget them. Let’s go win this s— for Nathaniel Hackett!”

The root of this animosity can be traced back to Payton’s remarks about the Jets’ Offensive Coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, before the season started.

Payton didn’t hold back, labeling Hackett’s previous stint as head coach of the Broncos in 2022 as “one of the worst coaching jobs in history.” He went on to say, “They can only beat the [expletive] out of you so much. But everybody’s got a little stink on their hands. It’s not just Russell. It was a [poor] offensive line. It might have been one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL. That’s how bad it was.”

Now Payton is the one coaching the Broncos, and his record is a disappointing 1-3, proving that coaching in Denver isn’t the cakewalk he thought it was.

It’s evident that the Jets players haven’t forgotten his harsh words.

This game is packed with storylines.
