The Denver Broncos are facing another legal issue after one of their players, Faion Hicks, was arrested in Florida on Saturday.

According to 9news, Hicks was pulled over by police in Hallendale for disobeying a stop sign. The traffic stop led to the discovery of a concealed firearm in Hicks’ possession, resulting in a third-degree felony charge.

Hicks was also cited for driving with an expired driver’s license of less than four months. He was subsequently released on bond and is expected to appear in court to face the charges.

Hicks, who was drafted by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft, played in two games last season, both on special teams. The 25-year-old cornerback out of Wisconsin is now facing an uncertain future with the team.

The Broncos have yet to release a statement on Hicks’ arrest, but this is just the latest legal issue for the team. Last year, star receiver Jerry Jeudy was booked on charges of second-degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer.

It remains to be seen what action the team will take in response to Hicks’ arrest, but it is likely that the Broncos will conduct their own investigation into the matter. The NFL also has a personal conduct policy that applies to all players, coaches, and staff, and the league may also take action against Hicks if he is found to have violated that policy.

Regardless of the outcome, this latest legal issue is an unnecessary distraction for the Broncos, who are looking to rebound after a disappointing 2022 season.
