The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Or, at least that the case for Sierra Canyon guard Bronny James.

James, who is the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is quite the player in his own right. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior is ranked as the No. 40 player in the nation in the class of 2023 by 247Sports.

A combo guard, James boasts impressive basketball IQ paired with next-level athleticism.

Slowly but surely, Bronny James is starting to come into his own as a player on a loaded Sierra Canyon team. James’ 6-foot-3 frame has filled out nicely and he’s added some pop on drives to the rim through traffic or in transition. One of his strengths is his ability to make catch and shoot jump shots and he is a fantastic passer. James gives good effort on the defensive end where he plays with toughness and versatility. There are times where he can be a bit passive on the offensive end, but overall he has made positive strides as a junior. – Eric Bossi, 247 Sports

Ohio State, where LeBron says he would’ve attended had he gone to college, appears to lead in James’ recruitment alongside Oregon. But it doesn’t appear he’s close to a decision.

Bronny James Throws Down Monster Jam That Sets The Internet On Fire

James showed just why he’s a highly touted recruit with an insane between-the-legs jam on Friday night.

Fans were in a frenzy after the ridiculous jam.

Sierra Canyon walked away with an 80-47 victory over visiting Chaminade in the contest. But all anyone wanted to talk about was James’ monster dunk. It appears the hoops royalty could well be ready to take the next step in his basketball development. The rest of the hoops world needs to be on the lookout if that’s the case.
