Brooks Koepka Reignites Feud With Matt Wolff With Brutally Harsh Criticism

The 2023 LIV Golf season came to an end this past weekend when Bryson Dechambeau and the Crushers took home the team championship.

While his team didn’t win, the end of the season is likely extremely welcome for Smash GC team captain Brooks Koepka.

Koepka spent much of the season feuding with teammate Matt Wolff, and only added more fuel to the fire with his recent comments about the 24-year-old.

““I’ve tried [to help Wolff],” Koepka said prior to the season finale. “I’ve spent the majority of the beginning of the year trying to help and trying to figure that out. But I think it’s past its point. I’ve tried. I’ve been very open with it, and sometimes you can’t help people that don’t want help.”

That comment came in response to a question about Wolff’s continued struggles this season, and piggybacked on comments Koepka made earlier in the season.

“You don’t work hard. It’s very tough. It’s very tough to have even like a team dynamic when you’ve got one guy that won’t work, one guy is not going to give any effort, he’s going to quit on the course, break clubs, gets down, bad body language, it’s very tough,” he said in July. I’ve basically given up on him—a lot of talent, but I mean the talent’s wasted.”

Now Koepka enters the 2024 season looking for not one but two new teammates. Not only will he and teammate Taylor Gooch need to replace Wolff, but they’ll also need to replace Koepka’s younger brother Chase.

Chase Koepka finished 48th in LIV’s year-long standings, meaning he was relegated from the series.

Let’s just hope for Brooks’ sake that his next two picks work out a little bit better than the first two. Otherwise we’re likely to be right back here in a year.
