LIV Golf kicked off its second season on Friday outside of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico at the Mayakoba resort. Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC is looking to make a splash this season with Jason Kokrak and Brooks’ brother Chase Koepka.

Prior to teeing it up in Mexico at the first LIV tourney of 2023, Brooks Koepka hopped on the Smash GC Instagram to do a Q&A. This is part of a larger push to make the individual team elements of LIV Golf more relevant and build up those social followings.

Alex Myers of Golf Digest grabbed a few of these questions including Brooks and Bryson squashing their beef.

Brooks was served up some softball questions like ‘Kobe or LeBron’ and he didn’t have to think about it at all, instantly saying the answer is Kobe. But then he was asked about a rumored ‘scuffle’ between him and Dustin Johnson back in 2018 during the Ryder Cup in Paris.

What happened between Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson?

The question posed to Brooks Koepka about Dustin Johnson was “Can you explain the apparent scuffle between you and DJ in 2018? Are y’all friends?”

Here’s what Brooks had to say:

Yeah… This one makes me laugh. We were just messing around… Horsing around… We were in the European Team room, we were just having fun. We actually went out in Paris later that night.

So if there was a scuffle it wasn’t too bad. We were just horsing around. It’s what guys do. We still play a lot of golf. We’re back home (and) hanging out with each other. So, no issue and he’d say the same thing.”

Anyone who has been watching over the years knows that Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka have remained friends. Even if things got a little heated in that ‘scuffle’ it was water under the bridge by that night.
