The Cleveland Browns have released offensive lineman Michael Dunn mere hours after sending him birthday wishes on social media.

Dunn, a seasoned undrafted free-agent out of Maryland, entered the NFL in 2017 and had stints with the Rams, Jaguars, Dolphins, and most recently, the Browns.

Dunne has a total of 28 career games under his belt, with 4 starts.

The Browns took to their official social media accounts to extend birthday greetings to Dunn earlier today.

However, shortly after the warm wishes were shared, news broke that the team had made the decision to part ways with the offensive lineman.

In a similar incident earlier this offseason, the Green Bay Packers also made headlines for releasing linebacker Jonathan Garvin shortly after sending him birthday wishes.

This is probably just an accident but you’d think teams will notice and alert their social media team ahead of time because this is indeed back optics to release a player on their birthdays.
