A Browns player’s childish move led to a training camp fight over the weekend. Ogbo Okoronkwo and James Hudson III got into it during a recent practice session leading benches to clear.

The two players were quickly separated, but the altercation was captured on camera and posted to social media. NFL fans are now reacting online.

Pass rusher Ogbo Okoronkwo got into some extracurricular activity with offensive lineman James Hudson following a play on the field. After the two players faced off head-to-head, Okoronkwo slapped his counterpart and ran away.

The defender apparently took some sort of offense to Hudson’s pass blocking, which led to the childish act. It didn’t take the lineman long to retaliate.

Hudson chased Okoronkwo down and threw a punch before the two were separated by Browns players. It’s led to an immediate response from NFL fans.

“It almost looks like Ogbo was playing around but Hudson wasn’t having it,” one social media user wrote.

“He slapped and ran,” another person said.

Others commented on the result of the play, which was nearly an interception of Deshaun Watson’s errant pass.

The quarterback could’ve been sacked 3 times, almost threw a pick, and they got in a fight. What a play. Browns are back!” this fan commented.

It’s not the first training camp incident we’ve seen this summer. Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce was seen recently throwing a punch at a teammate which he apologized for following the practice.

In the Browns’ case, the fight was broken up quickly, but players still paid for the scuffle. The team ran extra wind sprints after the practice which had not one, but two on-field skirmishes.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke on the fights after the session.

“It happens in every training camp at every level of football. They’re tired, they’re hot, they’re going at each other. I’m not surprised at that at all.”

The chippy-ness of training camp is back as players get ready for the NFL season. They’ll be happy to line up against someone other than teammates when preseason hits.
