Bryce Underwood did not seem to appreciate the amount of Oklahoma fans who traveled to Michigan for the college football game on Saturday. He appeared to give the middle finger to a group of Sooners on his way back into the tunnel.
The moment was captured on film.
A group of visiting college football fans gathered near the home tunnel. Underwood did not take kindly to their jeers.
Michigan is 2-0 after a win over Oklahoma!
Against all odds, the Wolverines are undefeated through the first two weeks of the season. They barely escaped a massive upset loss to unranked Western Michigan because of a clock controversy. They made a statement against No. 24-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday. Even if the Sooners and John Mateer do not appear to be as good as some people thought, it was still a good win.
Michigan will be at home again this weekend against UTEP. You can put 3-0 in pen. A loss to the Miners would be one of the worst in college football history. It is not going to happen.
And then it gets interesting during Big Ten play.
The Wolverines face a relatively easy conference schedule but, as we saw in Week 1, no opponent (except for UTEP) should be overlooked and there are five crucial ranked matchups remaining. No. 18 Iowa plays at the Big House on the last Saturday of September, No. 14 Penn State and No. 4 Indiana play in Ann Arbor in October. Michigan gets Oregon and Ohio State on the road in November.
That does not include games against Minnesota, Rutgers, Michigan State and UCLA. Anything can happen!
It feels like the Wolverines have a floor of 6-6 with a ceiling of 10-2. Based on the first two weeks, I would lean more toward the former than the latter. Their success comes down to the performance of their starting quarterback, Bryce Underwood. They go as he goes.

The first game of Bryce Underwood’s sophomore season was largely underwhelming. The $12 million quarterback completed only 12 passes for 170 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also ran for 47 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
Week 2 was slightly better but it still was not great. Underwood went 9-for-17 for 111 yards passing with 18 carries for 87 yards and one touchdown as the leading rusher.
Some of his nine completions were better than the others but nine completions is not a lot.

Head coach Kyle Whittingham said he and his staff did not have a good plan for how to use their massive duel-threat quarterback. They need to do a better job of helping him in the offense in a way that showcases his entire skillset.
Underwood is a work in progress. And that apparently includes his temperament.
Oklahoma fans invaded the Big House on Saturday. There was a lot of crimson in the crowd compared to maize and blue. Sooners fans who decided to make the trip were ruthless toward Underwood. He apparently had enough.

I don’t know whether this video was filmed before, during or after the game. If it was before the game or at halftime, the gesture was rooted only in hatred. If it was after the game, Underwood got the last laugh. He won!
