LIV Golf player Bryson DeChambeau
Bryson DeChambeau released a statement on Sunday regarding his professional golf future following the collapse of LIV. He confirmed the next tournament on his schedule, which could provide a hint at his next league stop.
DeChambeau was unapologetic in his farewell to LIV Golf. He does not regret leaving the PGA Tour.
The golf megastar bolted for the breakaway league in 2022. He reportedly banked $58 million as a LIV player over the last five years.
In those five seasons, DeChambeau won five events and finished second in the league standings during his final campaign. In 2026, though, the PIF cut LIV’s funding leading to question marks about sustainability.
Bryson DeChambeau expressed interest in staying with LIV Golf.
The league was expected to reorganize after investment firm BC Partners offered to save LIV Golf. That offer was contingent on a bankruptcy proceeding that began to unfold in September.
Things ended up imploding to the point where the tour has entered its Extinction Era. There will be no LIV Golf 2.0.
DeChambeau was one golfer that expressed interest in remaining with LIV as others began working their ways back to the PGA Tour. He will no longer have that option with the league closing its doors.
With fans and followers asking questions about the future, DeChambeau provided some clarity on Sunday afternoon. He also officially said goodbye to LIV.

He has no regrets for leaving the PGA Tour. “I made a decision I believed in, and I’m grateful for what came with it,” he began before thanking league affiliates and teammates.
He then provided an update on the future. He will play his next tournament in December.
Where will DeChambeau play next?
Bryson DeChambeau confirmed that he will play at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa during the first week of December. This is a DP World Event.
There are whispers that DeChambeau’s next stop will come on the DP Tour. The league has supposedly extended an offer of full playing privileges for 2027. Should he continue on with the European tour, it would present a possible return to the PGA Tour.
He would be able to earn his Tour card back for the following season by finishing in the top 10 in the Race to Dubai money list.
If he wants to move forward in accepting the offer, he will need to make a decision by next week. His deadline is November 14th, three weeks before the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
There are other options, of course. DeChambeau has a massive YouTube following and a desire to continue team golf. He wants to grow the game, pushing it to new generations of future golfers, even if it looks a bit different than the sport’s traditional form.
Is it enough to opt out of the DP World Tour? Time will tell.
DeChambeau wouldn’t open up on his plans at this moment. “Whatever comes next, I’ll approach it with humility and respect,” he closed in his social media statement.
We should have a better idea of what comes next following his upcoming decision on the DP World Tour.
