Buffalo Bills Offer Most Encouraging Update Yet On Status Of Defensive Back Damar Hamlin

The sports world has spent the last 72 hours holding its breath after a terrifying incident involving Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin on Monday night.

Hamlin, a 24-year-old defensive back, collapsed due to sudden cardiac arrest during Buffalo’s Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He needed to be resuscitated and was eventually taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he’s since remained.

Since then, we’ve received a number of updates on Hamlin’s status. Both his marketing agent and family members have kept fans up to date on the situation. While Hamlin’s status appeared to improving, he remained in critical condition.

The Bills offered a new update on Hamlin’s status on Thursday morning. And it’s the most encouraging update yet.

Per physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours. While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress.
