Drama Surrounding Caleb Williams’ Most Recent ‘Like’ On Social Media Is Much Ado About Nothing

Caleb Williams is expected to be the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, should the current order stand, a conversation will need to be had amongst the front office in Chicago.

As of right now, the Carolina Panthers are slated to finish with the worst record in the league. They traded this year’s first rounder in exchange for D.J. Moore. The Bears currently hold the rights to their pick.

Should Chicago end up with the top spot in next year’s NFL Draft order, it will have to decide whether to:

  • Trade back from No. 1 and allow another team to select Williams
  • Stay at No. 1 and draft Williams
  • Stay at No. 1 and reunite Marvin Harrison Jr. with Justin Fields

There is a long way to go between now and then. A lot of things can and will change.

That has not kept speculation from running rampant. Bears fans are constantly debating what their team should do with the Panthers’ pick.

Caleb Williams has seen the discourse!

Oklahoma and USC’s future first-round quarterback sparked a lot of speculation on social media with his most recent activity on X, formerly known as Twitter. Williams “liked” a post that read:

Only one option for the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL draft. It’s not Caleb Williams, we want Justin Fields.

The answer is Marvin Harrison Jr.

Fake NFL insider Dov Kleiman is frequently incorrect and consistently inflammatory. That was the case again on Monday. He took the “like” as something that it is not and said that the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner “just got CAUGHT.” Kleiman also implied that Williams “does NOT want to go to the Bears.”

That is not true. Kleiman has zero basis for his claim, which he presented as fact.

After speaking with a source close to Caleb Williams, Kleiman’s interpretation is not only incendiary but entirely false. The Unanimous All-American is not in anyway against playing in Chicago.

He would welcome the opportunity to compete with Fields for a starting job if necessary.

Williams’ “like” was nothing more than a receipt being kept. Much ado about nothing.
