Miles Sanders had the best season of his NFL career last season.

He ran for 1269 yards and 11 touchdowns for a Philadelphia Eagles team that ended up making arun to the Super Bowl.

That wasn’t enough to get the Eagles to pay him to stick around, but he did get rewarded with a nice contract. Sanders got a 4-year contract from the Carolina Panthers worth $25.4 million.

This week, Sanders appeared on WFNZ radio and praised his new teammates. While sharing that praise, he made some bold claims about Andy Dalton.

“But I have a good feeling about these guys,” he added. “These guys work, and that’s the main thing I’ve noticed in OTAs. We got a very, very good young quarterback that’s being mentored by a very, very, very good quarterback, a future Hall of Famer Andy Dalton—who I have a lot of respect for. And you got guys like Adam Thielen mentoring the young receivers, and that’s a great guy to take notes from. We got a seasoned o-line that I love—I love the film, I love watching their film. And the defense is stacked.”

At his best, Andy Dalton was a good quarterback for the Bengals, earning himself 3 Pro Bowl nods. However, he hasn’t been a “very, very, very good” quarterback in a while.

He is also far from being a Hall of Famer. He has never been named to an All-Pro team and is winless in the playoffs for his career.

Luckily for the Carolina Panthers, Bryce Young is expected to actually be a very, very, very good quarterback and should keep them from needing to turn to Andy Dalton any time soon.
