Cavs Broadcast Crew Brutally Roasts LeBron And The Lakers After 0-3 Start

LeBron and the Lakers are off to a poor start in the 2022-23 NBA season. They’ve lost each of their first three games, looking worse than the team that missed the playoffs a season ago.

Much of that has been due to poor shooting. Los Angeles ranks dead last in the league in three-point shooting, converting on just 21% of their attempts. For perspective, every other NBA team is hitting at a clip of 29% or more.

LeBron James is shooting 47% from the field, which would be his lowest output since 2006-07. Anthony Davis is shooting 20% from beyond the arc while Russell Westbrook has been abysmal from the floor (29% FG, 8% 3-pt).

With the Lakers’ stars struggling, and the team limping out to a winless start, many around the league are throwing shade. That includes LeBron’s former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavs broadcast crew was heard trolling the Lakers for their 0-3 record during Sunday’s game against the Wizards.

During a break in the action, Cleveland’s play-by-play announcers decided to take a look around the NBA. The Cavs’ crew got on the topic of the Lakers, which turned into a brutal roast of the team amid the turbulent start.

“Not the Lakers! Didn’t expect them to do well, and they’re not. They’re horrible. I’m telling you. They can’t play dead in a Western. Poor LeBron’s going to waste his 50th year in the league on that team? My goodness.”

Harsh coming from LeBron’s hometown team, and an organization that he helped win a title in 2016. But it doesn’t seem like they have much sympathy for what’s going down in LA.

James will try to get the train back on the tracks before the Lakers’ season spirals out of control. They’ll take on the Nuggets Wednesday night in search of their first win.
